WebRTC candidates
STUN addresses are compared with HTTP addresses of the same IP version. Different addresses can indicate different routes; matching addresses do not prove that a VPN cannot leak. Host and mDNS candidates are listed but not compared.
Observed DNS resolvers
Compare these operators with your VPN's expected DNS service. A public resolver or a different country alone does not prove a leak. Observers may be security scanners; this test cannot determine whether DNS is encrypted.

Data sources and privacy
Location estimates come from DB-IP. Network labels describe the provider as a whole, and public lists may miss VPNs or proxies. These checks can't predict how another site will assess your connection.
IPv4, IPv6 and WebRTC checks use our own server. The DNS check uses dnsleak.dev, which receives your IP address and can see the DNS servers your connection uses. Google provides the map, while DNS and registration lookups send your queries to outside services.
Your browser details stay on this page, and we don't save your lookup history. The checks never access your camera or microphone.
